I have a keen interest in astronomy and took up astrophotography some eight years ago. I was elected a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society (FRAS) in 2017

ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY

My images have been published in BBC Sky at Night and Astronomy Now in the UK as well as in Sky & Telescope and Astronomy Magazines in the U.S.. The Heart Nebula (below left) was NASA Astronomy picture of the day (APOD) in August 2017. The Heart Nebula was also published in Philip's 2019 Stargazing
I was shortlisted in Royal Observatory's Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2017 and again in 2018. I have written equipment reviews and processing articles as well as providing an Astrophotography Masterclass presentation for BBC Sky at Night Magazine.
I was one of the Lecturers at IAS (International Astronomy Show) October 2018 providing two talks "Deep Sky Astrophotography" & "Processing of Deep Sky Images" I was again one of the Lecturers at IAS in November 2019. I will be one of the lecturers at the Advanced Imaging Conference in San Jose California in May 2022.
